Zorbing Extreme Sport???

Posted in Sports on November 27, 2009 by agabani

I was surfing the web for extreme sports blogs and i stumbled upon on blog with all these crazy extreme sports listed in the margin of there web site. At the bottom of this list I found a sport called “Zorbing.” Since I have never herd of “Zorbing” I decided to check it out. So i clicked on the link and it brought me to a page of some youtube videos on Zorbing. There was no information on Zorbing that was written by the author of the website, only videos. But as i started to watch the videos, i realized Zorbing is not an extreme sport at all. Its a fun activity that you can do with your friends on the weekends it has nothing to do with athleticism. A new born baby could go inside of one of these huge bubble ball things and do what everybody else does. If you think Zorbing is an extreme sport you might as well call driving to work an extreme sport.Zorbing

When I went to see some of these competitions when I was pulling up to the front of the DewTour stadium I could feel the atmosphere of hardcore fans and hear them scream, cheer, and throw there hands up as they support there favorite extreme sport professionals. Every were I went there was a crowd cheering for either BMX, skateboarding, or dirt biking. Also at every booth there was something to be given away, always something being thrown or handed out to the people walking by. They had DJs, loud music and amazing food. This was truly a place you should go if you love extreme sports and a fun environment. Go to DewTour!

Dirt Biking

Posted in Sports on October 2, 2009 by agabani

Dirt Biking is a hardcore adrenaline rushing sport that requires skill and strength. It was founded by some crazy boys on motorcycles in their back yards. They would challenge each other on who can make the biggest jumps, who could do the craziest things. Then it grew and grew until there was events held were anyone who was a daredevil could compete and fans could go watch and cheer them on. Then it kept growing until there were special bikes made just for Dirt biking, racing and freestyle formed. Gear was made, and now its worldwide, where people can compete in this extreme sport. They hold competitions like the Xgames, DewTour, and many others. They might even be adding this insane sport to the Olympics.

Freestyle is when a dirt biker has a course of several different sized ramps and shapes. They would compete on who can have precision, execution, landing, and most importantly most dangerous and sketchy trick.

Racing isn’t just turning corners and going fast. In dirt biking there are several obstacles like jumps, bumps, sharp turns, and other riders to dodge, jump, and skid around. Its a sport that always has death lingering over you.
